Was I ever like this?

My what a day. I'm just glad it's over. Or is it? This is me and I haven't even made it to the bed before I collapsed.

Let's start from the beginning. Jonas woke up this morning, and let's say he wasn't too happy. Apparently we put him to bed without supper. Boy will we ever not make that mistake again.

"IIIII"MMMM HUNNNNNGGGGGRRRRRYYYY!!!!" Or that's what he would say if he could talk. It came out more like: "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH".  I looked at my watch. Yup sure enough, 4 o'clock in the AM.

I lifted him out of bed and wouldn't you know it? Smile across his face. I think toddlers are bipolar.  One minute they are the happiest kid on the face of the planet and the next minute, screaming bloody murder.

I set him down in a high chair and he started to pitch a fit again. Of course it was probably because I put him in his sisters chair. Don't blame me, it was 4 o'clock in the morning. I like to see you know your pinks from your blues that early.

I don't know what they put in that stuff, but toddlers seem to love. Me? I rather starve. My Momma said I ate that stuff when I was that little. I'm just glad I don't remember.

Well soon enough, it was time to get ready for work. Phew. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my son more than anything I can think of, but work's a nice retreat when you have kids. And women wonder why some men are such workaholics. Thanks God for Bimble. Today was Andrea's first day working her new job at the Elementary School (she's now a substitute teacher) and Bimble was the only one at home to take care of the twins. He may be all nuts and bolts and a lot of rust on the outside but somewhere inside him is a gentle being.......wierd...

Ah, Jainee's so peaceful. I don't quite understand how two twins can be night and day. Look at me Jaida (my twin). We had are differences sure but we were a lot alike at the same time. And do you know about the twin telepathy thing? Oh wait, I'm digressing aren't I?

Well, getting the twins ready for bed (and please no 4 AM wake calls), we set Jonas down in his swing and wouldn't you know it, he started screaming bloody murder again. Now Jainee can sleep calmly in her swing so why can't he?? What's with that thing anyway? It's advertised to fill all your babies' needs! Errr, this one must be defective.

Well I decided I had enough for one night. I let Andrea take it from here. I walked to my bed only to find myself pass out just a few feet away. Yeah I was worried about the little tyke but my body was more worried about me.

Jonas was laid in his crib and he fell right to sleep. Geez, three kids and I'm not sure if I'll ever have this parenting thing figured out. Andrea's has talked to me before about possibly adding more to the number. Well whatever happens, hopefully there won't be too many days like today.
